The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing the Accounts Payable (AP) functions to ensure timely and accurate payments in accordance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable accounting standards.
This role supports multiple companies through a centralized AP team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, train and motivate the team to ensure payment documents record are accurate, complete, compliant with policy, and paid per due dates without complaints from vendors nor downtime due to late payment.
Ensure vendors' reconciliations (inclusive of inter-companies) are done timely during monthly and quarterly accounts closing.
Work closely and follow up with relevant users/departments to resolve disputed items.
Act as a business partner and liaison manager in relation to payment with internal departments or divisions (e.g., GTP, SCM, PPC, GHR, GIA, GQ) and external parties such as vendors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies (BANKS, AUDITOR, KASTAM, MOF).
Oversee monthly account closing on accrual and reversal of liabilities ensuring they are properly justified and correctly posted, and ensure period closing activities are completed accurately and timely in accordance with work instructions and checklist.
Ensure internal and external reporting requirements are observed.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of General Ledger for trade and non-trade creditors inclusive of inter-companies and other payable related accounts.
Be part of the digitalization initiative and set up of Shared Service Center, leading the team for implementation and change management.
Ensure staff claims and staff advances are processed as per SLA, outstanding staff advances are recovered timely, and present monthly report to management.
Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or accounting profession certification.
Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in Finance & Accounting functions, preferably in the Automotive Industry.
