An Accountant job has become available at an FMCG in Johor to manage the finance matters of their overseas entities. About the Accountant Role: In this business critical role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end operations of the collection process function supporting all Asia Pacific countries. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for monthly accounts closing, including financial statements preparation, supporting schedules and tax computations Responsible for preparing ad hoc reports as required by management or headquarters as whenever required and attend to financial-related matters from time to time, to support operations needs Responsible for implementation of accounting, financial policies and control procedures to ensure compliance with group policies and procedures, statutory and corporate requirements Prepare cash flow and financial planning for management consideration Continuously propose and support the team in process improvement initiatives Liaise with external auditor and tax agent on year end finalisation of statutory financial statements To succeed in the Accountant job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively within a team environment and co-operatively with affiliates across the Asia Pacific region. Key Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or ACCA/CIMA equivalent Must be able to speak and write Mandarin, due to the nature of the job More than five years of local work experience in a similar role and function Open to travelling to overseas entities Strong financial reporting and tax experience This FMCG needs no introduction and is a brand that is recognised as a leader in their field of expertise.
