Manage closing of accounts and financial reports preparation.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for day-to-day accounting operations and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Perform/review accounts analyses and reconciliations to ensure variances and reconciling items are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
Provide improvement/manage continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the timeliness, accuracy, and quality of general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
Partner with the relevant internal stakeholders on their financial information needs and analyses for decision-making purposes.
Perform timely and accurate preparation of consolidation accounts for quarterly announcement and year-end reporting in accordance with local/international accounting standards and compliance with Companies Act.
Preparation of financial reports and presentation slides after month-end, quarterly and year-end closing for presentation to senior management, including trend/variance analyses and commentaries.
Work closely with internal stakeholders for the timely reporting of financial results to senior leadership, Bursa Malaysia, Companies Commission, and other regulatory bodies as necessary.
Actively engage and coordinate with external auditors to facilitate a smooth and timely audit and closure, including preparation of management accounts, provision of required schedules and supporting documents, preparation of draft accounts, resolution of all relevant risks and audit findings.
Implement the Group's accounting processes and strong internal controls to ensure governance over accounting and reporting activities.
Manage key external stakeholders in driving timely and quality external audit process and reporting.
Job Requirements:
Degree or professional qualification in Accounting/Finance or a related discipline.
Minimum three to five years experience in a similar role preferably in accounting and auditing with a combination of in-house experience with a multinational enterprise and relevant Big 4 experience.
Demonstrate sound knowledge in finance/accounting practices and processes, understanding of the business and industry.
Demonstrate sound knowledge and application of local/international accounting standards, principles, and practices.
Proven experience operating in an SAP accounting environment is an advantage.
Demonstrate advanced research and analytical skills, including statistical computations.
Demonstrate sound knowledge and interest in technology and systems to support internal control effectiveness and efficiency.
Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g.
Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).#J-18808-Ljbffr
