Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Sales Manager located in Pasir Gudang, Johor.
The Assistant Sales Manager will be responsible for managing customer accounts, developing sales strategies, collaborating with the sales team, conducting market research, and achieving sales targets set by the company.
Promote the company's products and maintain service standards to the assigned industries and customers as agreed upon.
Prepare sales plans and secure orders, provide solutions services and achieve the annual sales and income target as assigned by the Head of Department.
Implement sales strategy in his/her area of responsibility.
Manage, lead, gather and analyze market information, industry coverage and competitors' activities to facilitate and enhance development of the strategic business plans and to identify new potential business and product lines.
Proactively investigate & regularly update market intelligence relating to assigned products and businesses.
Prepare annual sales & profit forecast and monthly sales activity reports including related market intelligence prior to given a deadline to the Head of Department.
Maintain contact with important government authorities such as Customs Department, Industrial Ministry, DCA, etc., on a regular basis and in cases of difficulties relating to sample import licenses, product handling, product license, tariff code, etc.
Coordinate with Customer Service, Logistics or Company Management.
Lead in the registration of the products, DCA approval and compliance with legal requirements of product importation and distribution.
Qualifications
Possess a recognized degree in any field or at least a minimum of 4 to 8 years of working experience in Sales & Marketing.
Experience in the chemicals industry is an added advantage.
Independent and self-motivated team player, with motivational, interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
Attention to detail is necessary as well as being a people person with excellent customer service knowledge.
Professional demeanor, vibrant personality and the ability to instill trust in prospects and customers.
Aptitude for processing information and incorporating feedback for interactive business conversations.
Willing to travel both locally and overseas.
