Job summary
The Red Hat Marketing team is looking for an Associate Manager to join us in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this role, you will oversee a group of market development representatives who are responsible for the follow up of marketing activities in order to identify new sales opportunities over the phone across various Asia Pacific (APAC) markets. We'll need you to have experience in inside sales or lead development as you will train, mentor, coach, and supervise associates within the APAC Demand Generation team.
Primary job responsibilities
- Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
- Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives
- Forecast and pipeline review with stakeholders
- Manage customer concerns with highly technical support requests from enterprise customers via telephone and web and maintain high level of customer satisfaction
- Contribute to global support processes and procedures as part of the support management team across regions
- Provide guidance to associates in solving issues, including proposing and discussing fixes, providing advice, educating customers, and other areas, to meet schedules
- Help with resource planning, hiring, and strategy for the team to meet the team objectives of providing extraordinary customer experience with our offerings and support capability
Required skills
- Passionate about technology and open source
- Demonstrable ability to learn and apply new skills and processes rapidly and coach, mentor, and encourage others
- Good written and verbal skills in English
- Knowledge of support processes and tools
- Demonstrated team management experience with customer focus and service orientation: ability to identify potential and motivate and develop your team from scratch
- Ability to handle various tasks, prioritize, and work under stress
- Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with customers, third party vendors, and Red Hat associates
- Proven troubleshooting skills with a passion for problem-solving, investigation, and learning new technologies
- 5+ years related work experience
