Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification. At least 5 years of relevant external audit experience. Excellent technical and analytical skills. Team player, with the ability to multi-task, flexible and can work under pressure. Good command of the English language Recognised team leader with good interpersonal skills Proactive in problem-solving and client management Willing to travel.
Responsibilities: Lead and manage fieldwork on client sites including liaising with other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of the audit process; Review and evaluate risk, document and assess key controls, document and assess process flows and identify significant accounting issues; Demonstrate expertise in primary accounting frameworks (MFRS and MPERS) and in related financial reporting matters; Prepare detailed Audit Planning Memorandum and identifying the risk areas; Plan the audit work programme including the timing and extent of audit procedures to be performed, and agree timelines with the client; Brief engagement team members on areas of focus / risk areas / potential audit issues; Provide supervision and instruction to audit staff to ensure that audit procedures are performed and documented in accordance with the firm's audit methodology; Monitor the progress of the audit work; Review and sign off all the audit working papers; Review working papers to ensure their completeness with proper sign offs by the relevant personnel; Review draft financial statements; Review Audit Planning Memorandum; Prepare Audit Review Memorandum; Draft the proposed auditor's report.; Ensure that assembly of the audit engagement file is complete; Review staff performance; Prepare billings and assist in collection; Ensure all outstanding matters relating to the audit are cleared; Gain comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives and utilise that knowledge on engagement; Identify areas requiring improvement in the clients’ business processes and possible recommendations and prepare and deliver Management Letter to be provided to the client; Coach other less experienced staff through sharing experience and knowledge appropriately; Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality;
