Job TargetTo create new PLC programming.
Job scope will also include improvements to current machine PLC programs and robot programming.
Job DesignationCreate and program new automation equipment PLC programs (Keyence/Mitsubishi) according to specifications (user requirements).
Communicate with robot programs (Mitsubishi/Nachi) according to specifications (user requirements).
Fully understand user requirements, refine specifications, and guide subordinates during information gathering.
Lead and advise on suitable machine program sequences that satisfy the basic functions (operation, safety, durability, and maintainability) of equipment/automation equipment.
Research suitable technologies for new automation program design and improvements.
Create documents related to the PLC, group progress, and presentations to managers.
Identify improvement points for existing equipment/automation and propose and execute improvement plans.
Create evaluation procedures for equipment/automation safety checks before handover to production.
Create work schedules and proactively monitor them to achieve deadlines.
Create reports to share with related departments.
Improve fixed workflows and manuals.
Create new manuals/guidelines for job-related tasks as guidance for others.
Implement the PDCA cycle in all activities.
Perform a variety of tasks assigned by superiors.
Responsible for raising Purchase Requisitions (PR) or Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) if assigned by superiors as an authorized member.
Participate in company Quality, Cost, and Delivery improvement activities.
Gather data quantifying process efficiency, analyze it, and recommend design improvements.
Perform ad-hoc rework processes on jigs/equipment/automation.
Job RequirementsQualification: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering - Manufacturing, or other related Engineering courses.
Preferably 1 year of engineering-related experience, with exposure to PLC programming, robot programming, automation design, and process improvement functions in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in creating Keyence/Mitsubishi PLC programming and Mitsubishi/Nachi robot programming from scratch is required.
Ability to create PLC programs with CC-LINK and Ethernet communication.
Strong electrical and electrical I/O interface skills for machine wiring and programming.
Good technical skills and excellent analytical thinking.
Skilled in computer technology and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office.
Able to use any CAD software and create engineering drawings.
Effectively bilingual in English and Malay with superior communication skills.
Ability to communicate in Japanese is an added advantage.#J-18808-Ljbffr
