The Role The Materials Scheduler role is a key role in the LSC organization. The position operates from a centralised location, accountable for executing the day to day materials supply requirements for the Lubricants and Grease manufacturing locations in the APME region, both Shell owned and 3rd Parties. Incumbent will be working with a team of schedulers who will be working on supply requirements for the countries the individual is assigned to. Incumbent needs to be able to create a feasible supply plan for baseoil types to be delivered to the various manufacturing locations in the region, in order to meet the demands of the production plans at those locations. It requires a knowledge of plants and logistics operations, supplier constraints, baseoil planning, Purchase order creation and placement and invoice settlement processes. A key success factor in working virtually is maintaining strong lines of communication with the local operational staff at the manufacturing locations.
Optimizing inbound supplies, ensuring the reliable, effective and timely supply of components and finished products, meeting our quality and service performance standards. New baseoil introduction is coordinated by this team, requiring strong change management skills and a dependence on Right First Time master data creation.
- Support continuous improvement of inventory holding for components across the end-to-end supply chain versus customer service. (OTIF vs DIO).
- Accountable for the completeness and accuracy of Master and transactional data in order to meet the target performance levels set and monitored through Acid test and overdue transaction reports
- Undertakes transaction processing in O8/GSAP
- Accountable for the optimisation of baseoil stock levels through analysis and setting of associated Planning Parameters such as Safety Stock, Lot Size, and Minimum Order Quantity etc. and Buffer management in O8.
- Manage the introduction, maintenance and withdrawal of components in the Planning and execution systems, ensuring that master data for replenishment correctly reflect the operational requirements and vendor constraints.
- Ensures that the delivered price of components are updated in the SAP system in a timely fashion to guarantee correct component cost allocation in Lubricants Product Cost (LPC) calculations, PIR needs to be updated monthly basis.
- To ensure that the component supply plan is executed in effectively and efficiently to ensure the correct components in the correct quantities are delivered to manufacturing locations to meet the stocking and production plans.
- Accountable for handshake is done with APME regional team on supply volumes, and to notify regional team on weekly baseoil catch up on replenishment.
- To ensure that the interface to operations at the plants is effectively maintained to ensure aligned information across the Supply Chain.
- To effectively manage system generated alerts and information from the business to ensure that shortages in supply are properly managed to minimise the impact of production and customer OTIF targets are maintained.
- Cover invoicing for own LOBPs during absence of isotank and invoicing coordinator.
- An ability to work in a virtual environment, communicating across multiple countries and languages.
- Lubes Business and/or Supply Chain planning experience is an advantage.
- Experience with integrated SAP/ERP systems is required, and a knowledge of Planning Tools (such as APO) is an advantage.
- Experience in working with internal and external stakeholders from different countries and cultures.
- Language skills: English Mandatory
