Concentra employees enjoy a competitive total rewards package and flexible work environment. We are looking for an experienced Operational Risk professional to join our Corporate Operations team in one of our corporate locations (Regina, Saskatoon, Surrey, Toronto) or in a home office environment.
The Role Reporting to the VP, Enterprise and Operational Risk Management, this role is responsible to provide independent oversight to Concentra Trust, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Concentra. Through effective risk and business practice management oversight this position will manage operational risk and compliance, ensuring appropriate systems, controls and processes are in place. Key activities include:
Monitoring adherence to policies, management guidelines, risk appetite limits and supporting the development of Board and executive reporting
Supporting the Bank’s Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) and its related policies, guidelines, methodologies, systems, tools and processes for ongoing evaluation of operational risks for Concentra Trust
Supporting the Regulatory Compliance Management Program assessing compliance with legal and regulatory requirements as well as the fiduciary responsibilities of a trustee
Knowledge & Skills
Advanced knowledge of trust services industry including estate, trust, registered plans, and administration
Advanced knowledge of risk management and compliance principles
Advanced knowledge to assess complex estate and trust issues and develop strategies, plans and tactics to meet business objectives
Advanced skills in interpreting, analyzing, and composing risk strategies, programs, and policies to mitigate risk
Advanced planning, organization, and problem-solving skills
Advanced understanding of regulatory requirements and reporting
Qualifications
Successful completion of a University degree in Law or Commerce, or an equivalent combination of education and experience complemented by a professional designation
5-7 years of relevant risk management in the trust services industry or related field including its regulatory environment
