About The Job
Responsible for commissioning of equipment and processes to ensure they are fitted properly and function at optimum capacity to meet the client's needs.
Key tasks:
Inspect and supervise installation of equipment, piping and instruments as per design.
Identify incompliances and provide advice to customer at site whenever needed.
Commissioning of equipment and processes at lowest cost and shortest time possible.
Conduct performance tests and operator training.
Resolve issues during commissioning and work closely with project engineering team if issues could not be resolved immediately at site.
Work in a structured way in accordance with safety requirements and quality standards.
Prepare punch lists and progress reports on installation supervision and commissioning jobs.
Follow up on commissioning issues till closure.
Support project deliverables in accordance with specifications and improve competitiveness via standardization, review of P&ID and layout.
Participate in Factory Acceptance Test and Box opening.
Conduct site audits/visits and provide improvement proposals to clients.
Support in After Sales Service business such as costing, component order project execution.
Willing to travel extensively (100-200 days/year) and work on weekends and public holidays.
What you know?
Degree in Engineering with process experience in operating edible oil plants, oleochemical plants, or food manufacturing lines.
Minimum 5 years' experience in commissioning or maintenance of food or vegetable oil process systems.
Ability to read P&IDs.
Ability to read single line diagrams will be an added advantage.
Basic knowledge of valves, electrical motors, instrumentation, automation, and structural engineering.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Melayu (both written and spoken).
Team player and customer-oriented with good communication skills.
Experience in edible oil, food or evaporation processes will be given preference.
