Contract Admin (Quantity Surveying background)Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management and Compliance:
Review, draft, and negotiate contracts to ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and project specifications.
Ensure all contracts are managed in alignment with project timelines and budgets, identifying and addressing any potential risks or conflicts.
Maintain up-to-date records of contracts, amendments, and related documentation to facilitate smooth project execution.
Cost Monitoring and Financial Management:
Conduct detailed cost analysis and projections, working with Quantity Surveying data to ensure accurate cost tracking for materials, labor, and other project expenses.
Verify and assess cost variations, progress claims, and final accounts for accuracy and alignment with contractual terms.
Prepare and submit regular financial reports to the project management team, highlighting any cost overruns or financial risks.
Liaison with Stakeholders:
Act as the primary point of contact for contractual discussions with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
Facilitate effective communication to resolve any contractual disputes, changes, or delays.
Collaborate with project managers, quantity surveyors, and legal teams to align contract execution with project objectives.
Risk Assessment and Issue Resolution:
Identify and assess any risks associated with contract performance, including delays, non-compliance, and potential legal liabilities.
Proactively develop and implement mitigation strategies to address contractual issues, minimizing risk exposure for the company.
Coordinate with legal advisors when necessary to resolve complex contractual issues.
Documentation and Record Management:
Ensure all project documentation is comprehensive, up-to-date, and accurately reflects any contract changes, amendments, or project developments.
Maintain organized records of all communications, agreements, and financial transactions related to each contract.
Skills And Experience Required:
Minimum of a Diploma in Business related or Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year in construction of industrial projects.
Preferably experience in the construction industry.
Good communication, organizational and relationship building skills.
