Our client is a well respected manufacturing specialist regionally. The business is looking to strengthen their finance team based at Semenyid in Selangor with a progressive and forward thinking cost management accountant/analyst.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Costing focused management Accountant to join a leading manufacturing business in Selangor.
Roles & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining product prices and costs within the business encouraging margin optimization. As a key member of finance team, you will perform and manage the quotation process, gather and validate information from other key functions enabling decisions to be made on current and potential new business.
Key duties and roles involved
•Perform analysis of Bill of Materials at product level to explain variances to standard.
•Analysis of purchase price variance general ledger account.
•Manage processes involving establishment of standard costs of new products and review and analysis of standard costs.
•Manage periodic requirements of manufacturing systems to ensure timely and accuracy of standards and gross margins.
•Manage inventory and related work order systems including physical to perpetual to general ledger reconciliations, journal entries and standard costs.
•Perform product cost and profitability analysis related to customer RFQ process.
•Manage and delivering fixed and variable cost reporting.
The candidate
The ideal candidate will possess previous financial accounting and costing experience coupled with strong analytical skills and work well as part of a team.
•A tertiary degree in finance or Accounting or ACCA/CIMA.
•A significant,proven in a manufacturing management Accounting environment.
•Strong analytical skills.
•Ability to manipulate large volume of data using appropriate analysis tools and advanced Excel skills.
•Highly effective communication skills,with ability to explain complex analysis to non-financial associates.
•Prior working knowledge of IFS or similar ERP systems.
