An interesting Data Strategist Lead job has become available at one of the financial institutions based in Kuala Lumpur. Reporting directly to the Regional Head of Business Strategy, this is a role is for a leader within the Analytics department.
About the Data Strategist Lead Role:
In this role, you will be leading the data strategy of the company, and helping stakeholders to make decisions, manage requests, and utilise your business acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the delivery of strategic, advanced analytics solutions and actionable insights to address business problems and opportunities
Enable continuous improvement of data and analytics visualisation through enhanced data collection, governance and dissemination procedures and tools
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their business needs, frame the problem statement and synthesise insights and findings into actionable business and functional strategy
Deliver effective, well-visualised presentations of findings and recommendations to consumers of data monetisation initiatives
Explore third-party and open source solutions to optimise cost and speed
Provide on-the-job coaching for data analytics team members to build their skills in data mining, analytics, modelling and visualisation
To succeed in this Data Strategist Lead role, you will need a keen sense of business acumen, as you will be the liaison to all business functions of the bank.
Key Requirements:
Experience or postgraduate degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, actuarial science, physics, engineering, economics or related scientific discipline from a reputable university
At least six years' work experience, of which at least three must be data science-related and in a relevant industry
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Database and Analytic tools (SQL, SPSS, SAS, Python) and Business Intelligence Tools (Power BI) required
Familiarity working with large data sets and relational databases
