What is the opportunity?

RBC Investor & Treasury Services (I&TS) Malaysia is a processing center of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographic time zones. The country employs a global operating model to maximize efficiencies across time zones and supports a 24/5 operations.

In this role, you will lead and direct activities related to managing Client Transformation & Change in Malaysia with regular engagement to drive solutions with strategic Operations teams in multiple geographies. You will be driving the implementation of I&TS strategythrough continuous focus on quality, efficiency and risk mitigation programs that impact high profile areas of the business. You will be running the design and execution of a large portfolio transformation to drive business excellence by using Lean Six Sigma, RPA as well as Management Information to increase the organizational return through successful evolution of Client Operations Transformation, Change business plans and associated strategies and programs. Whilst this role reports to the Manging Director, Client Operations Transformation & Change where you will support in developing capability and implementing the overall strategy and objectives of the business unit, you will also have a dual reporting line into the Head of Operations, APAC.

What will you do?
Managing a local team to engage with Client Operations areas, to review processes for optimization, driving efficiency, risk reduction or client experience benefits by facilitating a culture of change identification and enablement to assist driving transformation activities. Driving focus of digitization, process re-engineering and standardization across Global Client Operations (GCO) locally to remove waste, increase capacity, reduce risk and improve the client experience.
Use Lean Six Sigma practices to create and drive a culture of change and innovation across Client Operations Malaysia and with experience in RPA, deploy technology where appropriate working with the operational developers, control and maintenance teams.
Monitoring of regulatory and market driven initiatives for potential impact and opportunity for Client Operations as well as to ensure the Client Operations Transformation & Change team adapts quickly to changing circumstances and issue resolution.
Delivers high quality, accurate & frequent management information relating to the Business activities, to ensure that Senior Executives are aware of progress and issues within the Client Operations Transformation and Change business portfolio. Builds the portfolio of Client Operations Transformation and Change Business run initiatives based on business input and maintains the status and control of each of the individual initiatives in relation to reporting requirements.
Supports the Client Operations Transformation and Change Business plans and implementation enabling delivery of efficiencies (FTE & NIE), risk reduction and client experience.
Operates on the Client Operations Transformation & Change Management Senior team to develop the team strategy and direction and ensure successful delivery of team objectives.
Manages communications effectively to stakeholders at all levels by ensuring key stakeholders are updated and engaged throughout the lifecycle of the programs, developing long term relationships with business partners and key stakeholders whilst ensuring sponsor representative for business initiatives within Client Operations have relevant accountability to meet deliverables as appropriate

Must-have
A strong leader and an influencer withdemonstrated ability to create a high performance environment
Programme/ project management, Lean Six Sigma and RPA experience with a proven track record of managing change
Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and networking strengths
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail, keen sense of urgency with an ability to work to tight timelines and with constantly changing priorities
Competent in using sophisticated business information and analytic tools
Business Consultant: Ability to understand both finance and business realities to challenge decisions
Flexible with the working hours and comfortable to be working the evening hours ie. UK hours to drive solutions with strategic Operations teams in multiple geographies.
