Overall Purpose of the Role
Specialising in nationwide distribution as we are a logistics priority company. To plan, manage and evaluate logistics and nationwide distribution of multiple products with lower cost for our clients and efficient management of assets.
Key Responsibilities
Create and implement best practice distribution/logistics principles, policies and processes across the organisation to improve operational and financial performance.
Deliver solutions to distribution/logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements.
Assess and make recommendations for logistics processes for potential new clients and advise cost implications and efficiency.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimisation opportunities.
Set departmental objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.
Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required.
Responsible for departmental budget .

Qualifications and Experience Levels:
Degree or relevant business/commercial degree is preferred.
At least 10 years prior experience of working in logistics/supply chain/transportation function.
Knowledge of shipping and freighting would be advantages.
