**What success looks like in this role:**

With a minimum of supervision and functioning independently, assists in the analysis and resolution of client or systems user inquiries and problems which are relatively complex and require a thorough understanding of rules, processes, procedures and the client community. Provides courteous, accurate responses to callers. Responds to written correspondence from clients and others. Maintains records of correspondence and other daily activities. Assists supervisor by researching and responding to inquiries, answering questions for the other representatives and management. Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically on the telephone and in writing; to solve and persevere in the solution of problems requiring analysis and synthesis of several kinds of data. Remain calm and represent Unisys effectively and professionally in a high stress environment. Interact well and cooperatively with other team members. Sound working knowledge of specific domain area, policies and procedures. Ability to operate a CRT terminal and/or personal computer. Examples include but are not limited to clerical data entry/input for a client enterprise, claims processing/claims review activities, banking and other outsourced types of service that are non-technical in nature.

Key Responsibilities

Performs moderately complex to complex functions associated with the processing of checks from financial centers. These functions may include: timely processing of all ATM work through sorters, accurate performance of negotiability review, timely processing of BIC/NIC work received from the financial centers, balancing work received, customer correction or adjustments, notices, timely preparation of outgoing cash letters and statement rendition. This position requires the running of electronic sorting equipment and the use of PC's. This position has a production level and strict time constraints associated with the assignment. This position functions with light supervision and may perform independently for some tasks. Optimal performance results in timely processing and accurate balancing of bank transactions.

Key Qualifications

* Applicant should have at least 1 year of experience handling moderate to complex check processing clerical duties.

* Experience with other high volume, processing roles may substitute for check processing experience. Individual should have a total of 2-3 years’ experience in clerical positions or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Skills associated with this position include: ability to learn, read, and follow detailed instructions, ability to stand for long periods of time and lift a minimum of 20 pounds, ability to work in a team environment and be cooperative, good PC skills, and good attendance.
