This role is responsible in 2 areas of the APAC ERP team: Systems and Processes. This role is ultimately accountable for process alignment globally if applicable, design, governance and measurement. Process implementation is explicitly not in the scope of this role. Additionally, this role is the Informatics system owner for all systems in the scope of APAC ERP. This role will be responsible for the systems lifecycle (not the solution lifecycle) and integration management of these systems to other non-APAC ERP systems. Another very important role of the Informatics system owner is the overall accountability of systems validation and audit compliance.
Processes
- Accountable for aligning processes related to APAC ERP team globally or regionally as needed
- Responsible for providing feedback to global process owners on how these processes can be improved or made more effective and efficient
- Accountable for the design, setup and implementation of effective and efficient processes that are specific for APAC ERP team
- Process owner for all APAC ERP team specific processes
- Process custodian for all APAC ERP team processes owned globally or regionally
- Accountable for setting up and running process governance for the APAC ERP team
- Accountable for ensuring people operating the processes are equipped with the right tools and trained adequately working with their respective line managers
- Ensure process measurement is built in to the processes, and continuous improvement of the processes and reporting and analysis are done on those processes
- Responsible for documenting, reviewing and improving the processes System Ownership
- Accountable for system lifecycle roadmap, planning and coordination with various teams within and outside APAC ERP team (e.g. Integration, Basis, ERP Portfolio & Demand Management, etc)
- Accountable for planning, communication and coordination of system maintenance, downtimes, etc
- Responsible for approving tickets and system documents as the system owner
- Consulted for the setup and maintenance of Service Level Agreements (SLA) of solutions.
- Accountable for overall integration management for APAC ERP systems in scope (e.g. import of external transports, transport routes, coordination with service providers on system related tasks, etc.)
- Role owner for all technical users of APAC ERP systems
- Accountable for audit readiness and audit remediation planning and execution (incl. GxP and ICFR audits)
- Accountable for overall User Access Management strategy for APAC ERP systems
- Acting as an SoD champion for IT related risks
- 3rd escalation point for system related issues
Communications
- System communication plan owner for APAC ERP team
- Ensure adherence of communications as stated in the SLA relating to system downtime and maintenance
- Communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders and IT partners relating to system related topics
- Work with solution owners and component owners housed in APAC ERP systems in various topics such as system & solution lifecycle, processes, roadmaps, etc
Management
- Contribute actively and constructively as a member of the APAC ERP management team
- Provide constructive feedback relating to the APAC ERP team members to the rest of the management team
- Lead and/or sponsor initiatives of the management team
- Lead by example to the rest of the team by applying the Roche values and leadership competencies
- Participate and contribute to resource reviews, workforce planning, road map development, and any other management initiatives
Qualifications:
Qualification and Experience:
- 3 - 7 years of experience working in a delivery organization providing support and maintenance for ERP systems (preferably SAP).
- Knowledge of process design, maintenance, measurement and continuous improvement
- Demonstrates customer, quality, cost and delivery focus
- Excellent coordination and organizational skills
- Responsible and reliable
- Strong communication skills
- International mindset with clear goal orientation
- Professional IT experience especially in ERP (SAP preferred)
- Experience with ITIL and PM desirable with ITIL V3 certification highly advantageous
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is advantageous
- Cross functional experience in application/area of service of Finance, Supply Chain
- Management, Sales and Distribution, Shop Floor (Manufacturing) or Laboratory.
- Experience in providing Application services in a distributed environment and good
- Understanding of providing application services within a global user community with internal and external users
- Project experience with focus on deployment phase / implement and use / transition phase
- Experience in resource demand and availability planning over the course of the year
- Ability to write structured and easy to read documents
- Be able to manage ambiguity and conduct rapid prototyping to mature requirements
- Work in an agile environment and often on multiple initiatives in parallel
- Strong analysis skills and ability to quickly learn into new concepts and systems
