JOB SUMMARY - Assist the Group Health team in achieving the targeted TAT and accuracy level.
- Assist the Group Health team in ensuring the daily operations are within service standards.
- Assist the Group Health team in supporting business units to achieve target GWP.
- Operate within agreed loss ratio 50/50 current year.
- Underwriting of Group Business
- Provide sales support to the Business Units through managing product launches, marketing activities and marketing materials.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform business underwriting for new and existing (renewal) business.
- Assist in product/Policy training to corporate clients, agents and brokers in HQ and branches nationwide when required.
- Manage portfolio risk to ensure profitable portfolio growth.
- Visitations to corporate clients, brokers and agencies when required.
- Ensure policies/endorsements are delivered within stipulated time.
- Close monitoring and management of Claim Recovery for GHS accounts.
- Assist in managing resources to achieve optimum level of customer service through efficient team management by ensuring the team is meeting underwriting TAT and accuracies target.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Liaise with Third-Party-Administrator (TPA) on underwriting matters or admission to hospitals.
- Assist the Group Health team in implementing and monitoring of sales campaigns.
- Any other special projects or assignments, e.g. BCP exercise, organizing company events, etc.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:
- University/College graduate plus 2 years related working experience in the insurance industry. Actuarial or Statistical background or Group Business Underwriting experience preferred.
- Detailed and meticulous with good problem solving and decision making skills.
Professional:
- AMII/ACII/DMII or equivalent insurance qualifications.
Minimum Years of Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in and/or similar role/capacity
Skills:
- Customer-oriented and good communication skills. Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is a must. Proficiency in other languages is a definite advantage.
- Strong analyticak skills
- IT literate - Microsoft Excel is a must.

- Mature personality
- Possess a sense of urgency and commitment to meet performance targets
- Possess initiatives and drive to do whatever necessary to complete own and team's assignment/projects.
- Highly independent and can work well in a team-based environment.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Detailed and meticulous with good problem solving and decision making skills.
