Primary Job Functions:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Operating and maintaining facilities electrical systems
Developing and ensuring routine preventative and corrective maintenance
Utilizing quality systems and diagnosing process issues related to facilities electrical operations. Including switchgear; (33KV, 6.6KV, 415 VAC), facilities metering assist in energy conservation, automatic transfer switching, UPS systems including batteries and battery maintenance, emergency generators and facilities over electrical health
An ability to create accurate estimates of engineering effort, compose client proposals, and drive projects to successful completion within budget and schedule constraints is needed.
Portable PQ analyzer owner (Hook up, analysis, study and result)
To provide cost saving project, analysis and data collection
Power Meter & PQMS owner (Maintaining, program hardware and software, improvement, generate & compilation data)
NUR Power dip, outage tracking and trending
Responsible Variable Freq. Drive (VFD) owner (Servicing, Maintenance, programing and troubleshooting)
Manage Elect single line drawing, compilation and updating
Project and day to day - lesson Learn and breakdown tracking update
Electrical Planning, Financial & Budget tracing
Coordinate and control Electrical ARC Flash study program
Maintaining and program Motor Protection Relay (MPR)
Top compile (Interruption To Production) ITP problem solving on 7 step report and 5 why analysis
Analyzing and understanding Electrical system design and operation
Ensuring day to day Electrical system operating running smoothly
Ensure Electrical system design comply with Suruhanjaya Tenaga requirements
Prepare maintenance Schedule for all Electrical systems and ensure maintenance carried out as per plan and Suruhanjaya Tenaga requirements.
Obtaining permits, safety and license application as required by Government agency
Making improvements to existing system, implementing solution and system designs
Working closely with others Engineer, the production team and other professionals to ensure the system operated smoothly
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of programs and procedures
Emergency Call Out Stand by 24*7 for all emergency call outs Maintain register of all call outs and prepare incident reports Coordinate appropriate action for rectification including preliminary analysis of fault
Ensure proper engineering documentation and adherence to the established change management controls for all sites
Protect the health and safety of staff and others by adhering to and developing guidelines and strategies
Conduct audits to ensure that all safety procedures, including disaster recovery and business continuity plan and escalation procedures are in place and maintained
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations on fire, health and safety standards
Qualifications:
Diploma or higher in Electrical, minimum A4 Chargeman or other related qualification with 5+ years of industry experience in Electrical HV and LV installations
Skill -- Knowledge of the practical application of electrical engineering and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and troubleshooting skill
Design -- Knowledge of electrical design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
Candidate with experience in handling facilities electrical system including Low Voltage (LV)/High Tension (HT), Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS), Genset will be added advantages
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal and must be able to work effectively as an individual with minimal direction and as part of a larger organization/team.
Possesses in-depth knowledge of leading best practices in area of expertise, especially knowledge in design, construction, operation and maintenance of Electrical systems in High Tension (HT), Low Voltage (LV), Protection Relay and Power Quality Monitoring System (PQMS)
Ability to distil complex information and provide clear instruction
Knowledge of project management / new system set up recommended
Proficiency in CAD and other software programs
Certified Infrared Thermographer by Infraspection Institute would be an added advantage
