Facilities Engineering Manager Job Description
Responsibilities:
Maintains a high regards for ethics and ensure compliance to all company’s standards.
Drives project compliance with all safety and environmental regulations
Serves as a member of the Site Services Leadership Team involved in driving long term strategies for the organization. Partners with the Site Services Director to provide the relevant inputs regarding long term strategies.
Sets direction for the Facilities Engineering organization and provides communication to team and leadership
Manages suppliers performance and provides strategic direction for improvement
Manages the quality specifications for facilities related operations
Manages the execution of audits on site. Ex Customer, external certification etc.
Implements and maintains overall engineering objectives and initiatives to support Site Services strategy
Partners with Operations and Maintenance team to improve site facilities equipment reliability and efficiency.
Monitors execution of project management performance metrics versus set targets
Define Capital projects. Lead the engineering team in planning and managing capital projects. Participate in forecasting of capital plans/roadmap and yearly budgets.
Develop and maintain appropriate procedures and ensure they are utilized and followed.
Support/lead continuous improvement efforts within the plant in terms of production/labor efficiency, reliability, quality, 5S, ergonomics, health/safety, and environmental issues.
Partners with Global Support Team ( Dallas Based) and other local site counterparts to benchmark implementations and drive execution on projects ( capital, cost, reliability and ESH)
Manages individual contributors with emphasis on personal development
Drivers operational excellence, change and continuous improvement within the Engineering organization
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s and or Master’s Degree Engineering related field with a minimum of 8- 10 years work experience in manufacturing or site operations
Semiconductor or Electronics Manufacturing Experience is preferable
Prior people management experience (whether formal or informal, such a leading projects) is required
Project Engineering experience (preferred)
Demonstrated Success in the Following Areas:
Operational Excellence – Experience in the following areas: Management of Change, and continuous improvement projects/initiatives; has experience with CMMS maintenance
Development of individuals through talent management programs and performance management.
Finance - Budgeting, forecasting, long range planning and cost center management
Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments
Strong analytical skills – Ability to analyze data make decisions based on need and cost
Organizational/accountability skills
High level of customer focus
Management of multiple priorities
Overall operational responsibility and outcomes (results orientation)
Strong people leader skills including ability to coach and develop individuals
