Responsibilities:Handle full set of accounts and generate financial reports in accordance with the agreed timetables and department policies & procedures.
Ensure all transactions are posted as per reporting timetable, liaising with various departments to clear any mismatches.
Prepare monthly schedules and reconciliation of BS items to ensure sub-ledgers tally with GL.
Conduct analytical reviews and work independently.
Be responsible for the preparation of all journals, commitments, and other adjustments to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the business segments' financial statements.
Ensure financial control and adherence to Financial Policies across the company.
Review monthly bank reconciliation and statement posting into the system.
Ensure all necessary documents have been submitted in the credit application form before submission to the Asst Finance Manager for creating new debtor or location codes.
Process petty cash claims bi-monthly and reimburse petty cash.
Maintain up-to-date Fixed Asset registration in the system.
Liaise with Auditors, Tax Agents, Company Secretaries, Bankers, and government authorities as required.
Ensure all taxation payments are made on time as per statutory deadlines.
Investigate variances from the budget and summarize findings into monthly business segment reporting packs.
Prepare and support the auditing of management accounts as required by internal and external audits and ensure applicable audit recommendations are met.
Requirements:Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
At least 3 years of working experience in the retail industry.
Good analytical, communication, organizational, and management skills.
