Key Responsibilities
Group ConsolidationOversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidated financial statements.
Ensure proper elimination of intercompany transactions and balances during consolidation.
Maintain accurate records and supporting schedules for group reporting purposes.Financial ReportingPrepare and submit financial statements and reports in compliance with MFRS and Bursa Malaysia requirements.
Ensure timely completion and submission of quarterly reports (QRs), annual reports (ARs), and announcements to Bursa Malaysia.
Liaise with external auditors to ensure smooth and timely completion of statutory audits.Compliance & GovernanceMonitor and ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements, including tax filings and corporate disclosures.
Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring these are reflected in the group's policies and practices.Internal ControlsImplement and enhance financial controls, policies, and procedures to improve reporting accuracy and compliance.
Ensure adequate internal controls are in place across all subsidiaries.Financial AnalysisReview and analyze financial results to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies or areas for improvement.
Provide insights on financial trends, variances, and key performance indicators for internal reporting purposes.Team LeadershipSupervise and mentor the finance team, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
Provide training and development to enhance the team's technical and professional skills.Ad Hoc AssignmentsAssist in financial due diligence, special projects, and other tasks as assigned by management.
Collaborate with other departments on financial implications of business initiatives.Key Requirements
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is mandatory.ExperienceMinimum of 6 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 1 year in a managerial role.
Prior experience in group consolidation and financial reporting for a public-listed company is essential.
Big 4 experience in audit or financial advisory is highly preferable.Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of MFRS, Bursa Malaysia requirements, and statutory reporting.
Proficient in consolidation software and ERP systems, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
