This locally owned company specialised in providing green technology solutions for its clients.
With multiple types of business including fertiliser manufacturing, plantations, estate development etc, this company aims to have a large presence in South East Asia in the future.
Your new role
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Accounts Department, including month-end and year-end closing, inventory control, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger management.
Lead and supervise a team of finance staff to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with MFRS accounting standards.
Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end closing, and prepare management reports along with detailed financial analysis.
Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis as requested by management.
Manage the company's cash and liquidity, including overseeing cash flow, cash balances, and hedging forex requirements in accordance with BNM's FEA Rules.
Review inter-company transactions to ensure reconciliation of balances and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to minimise discrepancies in line with TP Rules.
Review tax estimates, computations, and tax returns, and coordinate with tax agents on related matters.
Coordinate with external auditors for the annual statutory audit.
What you'll need to succeed
Minimum Degree in Accounting or Finance, with Professional Qualification is an added advantage (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW equivalent)
Minimum 6 - 7 years of working experience within the accounting function, preferably from Manufacturing
Strong Accounting Reporting Standards and Treasury experience
Previous audit experience is an added advantage.
Able to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with Chinese stakeholders.
