Financial Accountant
THE ROLE:
Ensure accurate and on time payment of all contractual rebates to customers
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Calculations of rebate accrual for all shipments to customers to ensure the revenue accruals are accurately stated and perform revenue accrual adjustment if needed
2.Validation on rebate claims submitted by customers
3.Responsible of price correction if invoices are billed with the wrong price
4. Perform analysis in estimation of claim forecast in supporting working capital initiative
5.Address all customer requests and provide timely following through with resolving any customer issues
6.Support Revenue Accounting team for analysis on rebate accrual and claims
7.Maintain a detailed understanding of pricing, revenue accrual & customer claims and leveraging that understanding to maintain appropriate control
8.Daily interface with customers and internal teams (Sales Finance, Sales, Order Management and Credit teams) in managing the customers portfolio
9.Being a key contact for internal / external reporting & audit regarding pricing, revenue accrual & customers’ claims
10.Ensure smooth month end close and ensure compliance to GAAP, policies & SOX Key Controls
11.Lead & manage projects / assignments and process improvements
12.Involve in KPI & metrics tracking and measurement
13.Prepare reports & presentation decks for management and business partners
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
1. Strong business acumen on business activities with the strong leadership and action oriented mind
2. Proactive, detailed oriented and solid analytical skills
3. Effective communication skills with good spoken & written English. Ability to speak and listen in Chinese will be added advantage.
4. Assertive, creative and ready to work in a changing environment
5. A self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision and a good teamwork player
6. Self-motivated, meticulous and able to work under tight deadlines
7. Strong in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Degree in Accountancy / Business Studies / ACCA or any equivalent accounting processional qualification
