Financial Accountant (1 Year Contract)

Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.JR31967 Financial Accountant (1 year contract)Responsibilities and Tasks (include but are not limited to):- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, focusing on fixed asset accounting including lease accounting when required- Ensure proper capitalization and retirements of assets working along with Business Partner- Perform month-end close activities including preparing journal entries relating to fixed assets- Review and track fixed asset project costs following policy and guideline- Prepare and present monthly account reconciliations, variance analysis and ad hoc reports- Ensure compliances to accounting GAAPs, policies, and SOX controls- Assist on asset cycle count when required- Support internal and external audit- Support business partners and finance analysts on fixed assets related matters- Drive process improvement and automation to streamline fixed assets processes- Provide guidance and training to internal customers and peers- Ad hoc task as assignedKey Skill/Competencies- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills- SAP experience highly desirable- Experience in Blackline, Ariba and Concur preferred- Experience in data analysis & result oriented- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to act and operate independently with mínimal supervision / direction- Ability to meet deadlines in a rapidly changing environmentEducation & Experience- Qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or Degree in Accounting/Finance.- 2+ years accounting or finance experience- Shared service experience and/or audit experience preferred- This is a 1 year contract (non-renewable) role.
