The role is expected to evolve rapidly through streamlining and automating of processes. As an Accountant, you will focus on US GAAP & local compliance accounting and reporting for Micron entities.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Manage day-to-day accounting or operation activities- Perform month-end close activities including preparing journal entries- Prepare and present monthly account reconciliations, variance analysis and ad hoc reports- Ensure compliances to accounting GAAPs, policies and SOX controls- Support internal and external audit- Provide guidance and training to internal customers and peers- Communicate with business partners and finance analysts- Support internal & external stakeholders- Ad hoc task or project as assignedKey Skill/Competencies- Microsoft Excel skills- SAP experience highly desirable- Experience in Blackline and Ariba preferred- Experience in data analysis & result oriented- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills- Ability to act and operate independently with mínimal supervision- Ability to work under strict deadlines in a rapidly changing environment- Japanese or other foreign language skill set will be added advantageEducation & Experience- Qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or Degree in Accounting/Finance- Shared service experience preferred- 2-5 years accounting or audit experience preferred**About Micron Technology, Inc.**All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.Micron Prohibits the use of child labor and complies with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and other international and industry labor standards.
