Reporting to the Group Finance Director, you will be a part of the dynamic team.About the General Manager, Treasury (Banking Relationship and Funding) Role:In this position, you will build rapport with major local banks and heavily involve with Funding activities.Key Responsibilities: Oversee funding needs, both working capital and trade finance, as well as for expansion projects as required by the businessesSubstantially increase banking relationships with major Malaysian banks at a senior level to support the business's banking needs (loans, FX, interest rates, commodity hedging, etc.)Maintain excellent relationships/partnerships with financial institutions in the Malaysia and tap into the Islamic banking resourcesKeep abreast of regional funding markets and the available optionsWork closely with business leaders and corporate finance colleagues based in other countries to formulate the total group funding strategies To succeed in the General Manager, Treasury (Banking Relationship and Funding) role, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to on-board the banks based on strong relationships with the management of the Malaysian banks. Key Requirements: Considered a business elite in Malaysia from the corporate/investment banking circle/ large PLC and ideally familiar with palm oil/commodity industryOpen to considering candidates who are working in a senior banking position or Head of Treasury from large conglomerate/public listed company and has influence on decision making for fundingOpen to consider retired candidatesWell-connected in the business and government circles of Malaysia and can open doors easily with the bank’s senior management Ideally should have at least 25 - 30 years of banking/financing experience This MNC manufacturing and production firm needs no introduction and is one of leaders in their field of expertise and they have a strong presence in the global market.
