Description of job role:
As Head of HR you play a pivotal role in the Company, sitting on the SLT and working with the Board. Key areas of focus include attracting and developing talent for the future, employee engagement, performance management and leadership development. As the subject matter expert your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing the HR team to provide high quality advice across the entire employee life-cycle.
- Communication and implementation of Company policies, ensuring ER is continuously improved in line with organisational performance and a great place to work.
- Development and implementation of the People Strategy.
- Developing L&D interventions across the Business with a focus on leadership and talent.
- Leading on people-related projects.
- Management of complex ER issues to appropriate resolution.
Profile of desired candidate:
The successful candidate will be a proven HR Generalist with strong operation knowledge (including ER) but with the ability and experience of working at a strategic level as a Head of HR. Experience of people management and developing high performing teams is also essential.
You must be a commercial thinker with a focus on outcomes and best practice as well as the ability to engage and influence at all levels, including the Board.
In addition, you will have experience of working within a multi-site business and for an organisation in growth.
You will be highly communicative with an open style and the ability to flex between the short-medium term operational needs versus the longer term strategic thinking and ambition. Ideally you will also have experience of engaging with both a 'blue' & 'white' collar workforce.
