As we embark on our journey to establish a regulated peer-to-peer (P2P) lending platform in Malaysia, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Department Head to lead this initiative.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building, launching, and scaling a compliant and customer-centric P2P lending business that aligns with regulatory standards and delivers value to borrowers and lenders alike.
Role Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy for the P2P lending platform, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
Identify market opportunities and design innovative lending products to address the needs of diverse customer segments.Regulatory Compliance:Ensure full compliance with the Securities Commission Malaysia's guidelines and other relevant regulations governing P2P lending activities
Establish robust risk management and governance frameworks to safeguard the interests of stakeholders.Operational Setup:Oversee the end-to-end development of the P2P lending platform, including technology infrastructure, operational processes, and user experience design
Build and manage a high-performing team to support business operations, including underwriting, customer service, marketing, and compliance functions.Partnership Development:Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, financial institutions, investors, and industry partners.
Explore and secure strategic partnerships to enhance the platform's capabilities and reach.Performance Management:Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the platform's growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and market competitiveness.Customer Advocacy:Foster a customer-first culture by delivering transparent, accessible, and user-friendly lending services
Address customer feedback proactively to refine and improve the platform's offerings.Required Qualificationsa.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
b.
3-5 years of experience in financial services, fintech, or a related industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
c. In-depth knowledge of the Malaysian financial regulatory landscape, particularly in relation to P2P lending and capital markets.
d. Proven track record in launching and scaling financial products or platforms.
e. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
f. Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
g. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
h. Familiarity with digital platforms, data analytics, and emerging fintech trends is highly desirable.
