JOB SUMMARY
This role is responsible for identifying and exploring emerging technologies, assessing feasibility through rigorous testing, and translating successful innovations into practical solutions.
By monitoring industry trends, evaluating market opportunities, and providing insightful reports, you will help shape EPF's innovation roadmap and drive informed decision-making at the leadership level.
Your expertise in Proof-of-Concept (PoC) development will be crucial in validating new ideas before advancing them to full-scale implementation.
You will lead the transition of validated concepts into Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.
This includes overseeing full-stack development, AI-driven solutions, and collaborating with enterprise-wide teams to ensure seamless integration.
Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining high-quality standards, ensuring compliance, and optimizing performance across all developed solutions, contributing meaningfully to EPF's long-term innovation strategy.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and explore emerging technologies, including AI, to assess feasibility through rigorous testing aligned with technical and organizational needs.
Develop comprehensive trend reports and insights to provide leadership with a clear understanding of technological advancements and their potential impact.
Monitor industry trends, technological disruptions, and innovation opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
Lead Proof-of-Concept (PoC) initiatives to determine the feasibility of new technologies by testing their viability for real-world application.
Transition validated concepts into Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) by developing functional prototypes based on identified use cases, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.
Oversee the end-to-end development of AI-enabled solutions, integrating full-stack capabilities into MVPs for testing, refinement, and enterprise-wide adoption.
Handle data preparation and processing for AI-driven solutions, ensuring high-quality datasets for model training and optimization.
Collaborate with enterprise-wide stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of innovative solutions.
Provide technical expertise in innovation methodologies, best practices, and industry-leading tools to ensure optimal execution.
Ensure quality assurance, performance, and compliance of PoCs and MVPs, maintaining high standards and contributing meaningfully to EPF's innovation objectives.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Strong background in technology exploration and prototyping, with expertise in researching, testing, and validating emerging technologies, including AI and automation.
Experience in leading PoC initiatives, ensuring that new technologies are effectively evaluated for feasibility before full-scale development.
Ability to transition validated PoCs into MVPs, ensuring seamless integration into business operations.
Proficiency in full-stack development with hands-on experience in frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js for frontend development, and Node.js, Django, or Spring Boot for backend development.
Extensive experience in market sensing, competitive analysis, and evaluating technological landscapes to guide strategic decision-making.
Strong capability in deploying AI-enabled applications, integrating APIs, and optimizing performance across cloud or on-premise environments.
Hands-on expertise in AI frameworks, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or LangChain, with a strong grasp of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques and Large Language Models (LLMs) to develop AI-driven solutions.
Strong knowledge of AI model selection, fine-tuning, and deployment, ensuring optimal performance and seamless integration into solutions.
Strong knowledge of data retrieval, modeling, and preprocessing, including handling large datasets to optimize AI model performance.
Strong understanding of responsible AI practices, including data security, bias mitigation, and ethical AI implementation.
Strong analytical mindset, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning in a fast-paced innovation landscape.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Malaysian citizen.
Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology Management, Engineering, Information Systems/Technologies (IS/IT), or an equivalent qualification from accredited higher learning institutions.
Pass Malay Language, including oral test at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent as recognized by the Government.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the innovation space; total working experience of more than 10 years.
