About the Head, Technology Information Security Officer (First Line People Manager) Role:
Reporting directly to the CTO, you will be working on enforcing compliance to policies, standards and procedures to the IT operation team as well as manage the department financial, budget, regulatory risk assessment, internal control risk assessment, business continuity and disaster recover plan. With a wide range of responsibilities, the Head, Technology Information Security Officer is a key position that helps to drive the business forward in a secure and compliant manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and publish up-to-date security policies, standards and guidelines
- Evaluate new cybersecurity threats and IT trends and develops effective security controls. Oversee development of security awareness programmes
- Develop and oversee effective disaster recovery policies and standards to align with the company's business continuity management programme goals. Coordinate the development of implementation plans and procedures to ensure business critical services are recovered in the event of disasters or other incidents, and provide direction, support and in-house consulting in these areas
- Evaluate potential security breaches, coordinates response, and recommend corrective actions. Support the business in delivering quality and compliance in order to drive down information security risk
- Promote responsible behaviour by improving the culture internally to ensure all staff are protecting against possible security incidents To succeed in this Head, Technology Information Security officer role, you must possess at least 15 years of experience in the relevant field, with at least five years' experience managing a team, and have the ability to make critical business decisions.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information system or equivalent processional experience required
- 10 years of professional experience in technology and information security, Cybersecurity and/or Security Operations
- Competency in cybersecurity incident handling and in assessing the threat landscape against emerging and prevailing security threats
- Ability to communicate well at senior and board level to help others understand business risk
- Strong business process understanding, able to understand general business operation activities to avoid business down time
- Relevant technical/professional Security certificate (i.e. CISSP/CISM/CRISC/CEH)
- Experience in managing a team with strong analytical and problem solving skills is required
