Health, Safety & Environment Manager, South East Asia

As,HSE Manager, SEA,a part of the Valmet HSE team, you will lead and manage HSE operations for SEA region covering Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and other future countries in driving effective management system, operations, initiatives and implementations both in Valmet premises and at customer sites.
You will be strong leader / influencer in collaborating with all functions, especially operation and field services, to enhance world class HSE practices and legal compliance aiming at zero harm, sustainability, and well-being in South East Asia.
You will work closely with HSE professionals in the Asia Pacific area and the business lines as well as with management teams, HR, Global Management System owner, Quality, line managers and employees in the countries to build up culture and sustainable HSE operations and awareness.
Your main responsibilities:
Leading and managing the effective provision of HSE services within SEA.
Executing HSE improvement plans, initiatives, and actions.
Being HSE subject matter expert (SME) and point of contact.
Developing, maintaining, and implementing global management system for HSE ISO Standard.
Adopting global initiatives to local implementation by working with other functions.
Provide accurate HSE reporting and recommendation.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
Bachelor's degree in Health, Safety and Environment and/or Engineering Degree with relevant experience and background in Health, Safety and Environment.
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in managing HSE in a similar environment.
Posses Thailand Professional Safety Officer Certificate (Jor. Por. Wor.)
Knowledge of multi-site ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 management systems standards and certifications, as wellas country legislationand standards within HSE.
Experience of advanced incident investigation and prevention.
Experience of managing and influencing positive changes in HSE performance, including training.
Results-orientation, leadershipskills, experiencein project, change management and hands-on.
Excellent verbaland written communication skills in English. Other languages are a merit.
Mature, self-motivated, self-initiative, self-confident, self-driven, and good team player.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Teams.
Willing to travel to Valmet locations and customer mills is required.
