Job Description and Qualifications PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Familiar with end to end payroll processes and familiar with the regulation, tax law, statutory requirement and processes specifically for ID is necessary but broadly for other Asia countries would be an added advantage. Accountable to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery as per Payroll schedule & calendar of activities Monitor and manage the performance and relationship with the external payroll vendor and internal customer to ensure timely delivery Accountable for overall data integrity of HR master data in the Payroll system & partner with HR Power Users to perform the monthly reconciliation data audit between the Payroll system & system of record for employee master data. Familiar with the HR policies on all pay and allowance related matters and ensure variable payments are duly approved before processing payment via payroll. Support Manager HR Services in Payroll verification, variance report for payroll approval and raising of payroll remittance Work with respective stakeholders in any change request and ensure system is updated accordingly i.e. Vendor, HR, Finance, SAPHR Power Users or relating to regulatory change. Work with the team on any changes that impact the payroll team by providing necessary updates, training and resources to perform their role. Support continuous improvement initiatives for payroll activities including documenting all work practices, aligning and streamlining work processes to improve operation efficiency. Work closely with various stakeholders i.e. HR, finance, external vendors in the payroll processes to ensure smooth delivery of payroll service. Responsible to generate any payroll-related reports upon request & need to ensure data confidentiality before releasing any information Work closely with the Manager HR Services and HR or internal customers in the resolution of payroll operational issues to ensure alignment to regional directions/processes Participate in the Regional Payroll meeting to share payroll knowledge and work processes. Participate in internal controls, audit and compliance activities and ensure regional HR Data Privacy and Protection regulations and practices are followed and in compliance. Play a critical role in supporting Manager HR Services in migration of new activities to the shared service center. Support required project work as and when required. JOB REQUIREMENTS Preferably a Degree holder with min 2 years relevant working experience in MNC’s or Shared Service Operations. Experience in ID Payroll is a must and Experience in other countries Payroll will be an advantage. Accounting experience with good working knowledge of payroll and payroll accounting can be considered. Job incumbent must demonstrate good communication skills, positive attitude, interpersonal skills , problem solving skills, high integrity, detailed oriented, possess strong knowledge of internal control, payroll end to end processes, tax and social benefits compliance requirement. Teamwork is absolutely key. Fluent written and spoken English and Malay is a must. Additional languages such as Korean would be an added advantage. Experience in China, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, and/or Malaysia payroll practices and legislations would be an added advantage, but not a must.
