Project Inspection Coordinator

Role Purpose

The Lead Project Inspection Coordinator (PIC) is responsible for PIC team including subcontractor performance; coordination and monitoring all Inspection related matters during the EXECUTE Phase of Major and critical Package Inspection; Outstanding Work Clearance plus Site Observation in relation to Supply Chain (SCM) matters. He/she will adhere and participate to the implementation of the Project HSSE and Quality Plans. The Lead PIC to support Supply Chain Support Manager (SCSM) during initial project inspection planning/ framing work and becomes operational upon PO placement of the major/critical/long lead items. The lead PIC is primary responsible for the inspection coordination activities of the critical and complex equipment for the project. The Lead PIC makes use of the Vendor Inspection Plan (VIP) to monitor progress of aterial/equipment inspected. This pivotal role collaborates with the project team (ie: Project Procurement Manager (PPM), Package Manager (PKM), Package Engineer, Expeditor, Logistic…) or with other shorebases to actively engage and reinforce all relevant working relationships. You also build partnerships with vendors to meet shared objectives as per Company requirements and in line with the local and international regulations. You interface with external third-parties involved in inspection activities. (ie: agencies or other officials), to ensure their performance meet the expectation. The Lead PIC reports to the Project Inspection Supervisor (PIS)/ PPM & SCSM

Role Contribution

To report to the PPM for the matters related to the organization of the inspection activities within the project (coordination, planning, reporting) To participate in the set-up of package inspection levels and inspection matrix, to log inspection data in NADIA with the help of inspection assistants To liaise with the certifying authority and COMPANY for their involvement in the inspection process To review the VENDORs QCPs, ensure timely review and approval by the project team prior to manufacturing To ensure inspection S-ITRs are used to perform inspection activities To assign inspectors to PO, prepare and manage the work orders for agency inspectors To arrange the inspection visits with the inspectors and all potential attendees upon receipt of the VENDOR inspection notification To ensure that the inspectors have the appropriate documentation and have been briefed by the PKM To distribute periodically the updated VIP informing the project team about the status of project inspections To ensure that QCPs are properly implemented and signed-off To get inspection reports and IRCs, review and distribute to the project team through eCDR/NEO (Electronic Document system) To ensure that NCRs and OWLs are closed prior to shipment The PIC will work within the generic framework stablished in appendix ‘Standard Inspection Workflow’ and under the supervision of the PIS

As a lead, you are also to;

Understand Company and project requirements and appropriately assign tasks to team members. Set team expectations for quality standards and enforce safety requirements to meet project needs, corporate standards, and industry regulations. Ensure each team member understands his/her role and responsibilities. Provide support and guidance as needed to team members; partner with the Supply Chain Support manager for mentoring staff as needed. Proactively assess team performance and partner with the Supply Chain Support manager to continuously improve global performance. Ensure previous lessons learnt are incorporated and promote continuous improvement by sharing new lessons learnt with relevant managers. Ensure proper communication with internal/external stakeholders to ensure all parties are promptly informed.

Role Requirements:

In depth knowledge of a technical discipline (e.g. mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, piping, structure), Fluent in English, Experienced & well verse in codes / standards / client specification or fast learn to adapt to a new project requirement. (i.e. AWS, ASME, API, ASTM, & etc) Good knowledge of documentation management, Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Good knowledge of database tools, Technical understanding of P&IDs, PFDs, C&Es, Cable Block Diagrams, etc., Knowledge of Supply Chain workflow, in particular the Inspection stream, Management of team, priorities and ability to work within a tight schedule
