A Insurance Processing Services Team Supervisor job as become available at a regional general insurance shared services processing centre based in Kuala Lumpur. This role will be leading a team of 10 individuals to support the Asia Pacific countries in their insurance processing work.
About the Insurance Processing Services Team Supervisor Role:
As the Insurance Processing Services Team Supervisor, you will be proactively leading, supervising and coaching the team to achieve internal KPIs and stakeholder satisfaction for services rendered to all underwriting and claims teams (distributed in multiple offices across the Asia Pacific region) in providing efficient and accurate handling of all aspects of processing submissions, claims payments, loss runs, eFile uploads and various other administrative duties. The role will also be assisting the manager in being an intermediary between other key business units – operations, IT, finance, RI, and legal as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervising and monitoring team’s work commitments ensuring daily workflows are managed effectively and KPI/SLA maintained. This includes preparing daily ageing report of any outstanding work that has been carried forward and present in daily scrum and rearrange resources if necessary including the direct reports Providing leadership to the team - problem solving and assistance as required. Maintaining and updating the Processing Manual on an ongoing basis to ensure it is always accurate and relevant Preparing monthly and quarterly reporting of KPI/SLA statistics Performing monthly and quarterly quality checks of the team’s processed transactions Assisting with training and development of the team to ensure consistency within the team Identifying and implementing ways of producing greater efficiency across the team Assisting with generating, analysing and interpreting ad hoc and monthly management reports while managing data accuracy and integrity Undertaking projects as required UAT testing for system enhancement Demonstrating behaviour that are in with the company's core values at all times Ensuring compliance with all legal, statutory and corporate affairs requirements on a timely basis Continuing to seek improvement of the product and of self by the continuous improvement of practices and processes
In order to succeed in this Insurance Processing Services Team Supervisor role you must come from general insurance and have at least three to four years of experience in operations and processing.
Key Requirements:
Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in a related field Good verbal and written communication skills in English Candidates who can read and write in Mandarin/Cantonese will have an advantage, due to the nature of the job Ability to be a self-starter and a flexible and positive team player Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate multiple time zone coverage across multiple AP offices Malaysian or candidates with a valid working visa
