Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.As an Intern with Dry Etch Equipment Development, you are an integral member of the Technology Development Engineering team at Micron driving our development of tomorrow's memory and storage technology. The primary focus of this role is assessing and developing cutting edge semiconductor processing hardware - both internally with process engineering and externally with vendors - to enable novel process technology.Success is derived through partnership with the process development team and effective project management of vendor resources to achieve process technology and efficiency benchmarks. Equipment Development Engineers use creative experimental techniques and have access to a full suite of semiconductor analytics lab equipment and on-board plasma diagnostics to solve outstanding technical challenges.**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:**R&D Equipment Development**- Execute the characterization of semiconductor manufacturing tools RF delivery systems, specifically around pulsed RF operation, functionality, and sensitivity to chamber conditioning.- Develop and define hardware requirements and operating windows enabling new processing technology- Always execute with Safety first behaviors.- Strong interpersonal skills with customers, stakeholders, and managers- Ability to work independently, with mínimal direction / supervision and always focusing on timely completion of project deliverables- Model-based problem-solving skills- Ability to conceive and implement viable, innovative solutions either independently, or partnering with development team and vendors- Strong analytical skills - ability to identify embedded correlations- An electromechanical or hardware derived work history/education- Ability to generate data-based problem statements and success criteria- Strong teamwork skills - ability to work in cross-disciplinary teams facing cross-organizational logístical challenges- Effective project management skills achieving goals and timelines- Strong digital literacy, or mínimally the ability to learn quickly new programs like JMP and other data analysis programsGraduation date should not be prior to September 2**About Micron Technology, Inc.**Micron is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
