To prepare amazing pizzas by ensuring the products are cooked, assembled and served according to the highest standard and quality set by myPizzaLab.
To be able to adapt to constant changes and being able to handle stress working in a restaurant.
Other duties of a geek at myPizzaLab include but not limited to:-
Back of House
To prepare the food according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to achieve great quality product while maintaining the highest standard of hygiene and keeping the kitchen organized.To make use of Checklists, station cheat sheets, thermometers, timers and other necessary tools to work more effectively.
Front of House
To provide a friendly and homey experience for all myPizzaLab customers.
To take customers orders by interacting, discover and suggesting.
To manage customer expectations when they dine at any myPizzaLab outlet.
Qualities required of a geek.
You must be able to develop a positive working environment through creating friendships and being understanding with one another.
You must have the willingness to learn, whether it’s product knowledge, a new station or new processes.
Must exhibit a cheerful character and must have the willingness to help out even without asking.
Must also know what is patience and be able to understand customers needs.
Able to understand the sense of urgency and how time moves differently in a kitchen.
Able to grasp and explain in detail all items on the menu and off the menu.
Must be able to communicate in English and Malay. Having a third language like Mandarin or Tamil is an added bonus.
Know that there is a time to play and there is a time to work. If you work hard and do things right, naturally fun will come.
Not afraid to ask questions
Everyone who joins myPizzaLab start from doing all entry-level position as we believe in building a good foundation on how we function and work together as a team. You’re expected to learn everything from assembling pizzas, cooking, cashiering, coordinating the kitchen to dishwasher and expeditor. Job rotation will depend on your skills and capabilities in carrying out your roles and responsibilities. Be prepared to work hard and be willing to learn and have fun at myPizzaLab.
