Kulim Amhs Equipment Technician

Equipment Technicians perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in nonfunctioning electromechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings. May also perform setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance on production equipment. Assignments are semiroutine in nature. Work performed within generally defined parameters. Some degree of judgment required in resolving nonstandard problems. Normally receives general instructions on most work.

This is a CWW position and shift is TBD. In this position, you will be part of launching Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) operations in Kulim Die Sort/DP factory providing first-line support as part of a 7x24 operations support team.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Monitoring the AMHS in a dynamic environment to detect and respond to system issues
- Act as the POC and the AMHS technician interface during crisis management
- May take on role of the buddy, trainer, and/or certifier and is in charge of updating training manuals
- Occasionally act as a floater for the AMHS team to support staffing needs
- Responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of all AMHS equipment and subassemblies
- Providing timely response to equipment issues, logging system problems and errors in designated databases
- Responding to escalations and problems via MSD help desk and the Global Operations Support Center, Equipment Engineering and Product Owners.

Qualifications

Diploma is Electrical & Electronics Engineering or in related field.
