PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group's newest expansion in Malaysia, a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang.
The construction has begun in May 2021 and first series of production to commence in 2023.
With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch's Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors.
PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics' fab in Dresden, Germany.
The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.
Job DescriptionResponsible for ensuring smooth running of Bosch Production System (BPS) activities to align with company goals and objectives at the Value Stream area, covering coordination, planning, implementation, effectiveness, and alignment with plant BPS Vision, Mission direction, and BPS Road Map deployment.
Responsible for production line layout as per PGL concept and for improving line productivity and utilization rate of machines.
Ensure correct application of all relevant company guidelines for production and output determination according to PGL/BPS/Lean Concepts.
Support workshops for Value Stream Planning (VSP)/System CIP Projects and regular/annual BPS assessment of maturity level.
Responsible for Root cause analysis and Problem solving in close cooperation with production and manufacturing teams.
Initiate technical, organizational, and changeover improvements and implement them with production associated with an improvement plan.
Responsible for Lean manufacturing activities including leading continuous improvement projects and moderating/supporting workshops.
Execute any other related duties assigned by immediate supervisor from time to time, ensuring compliance with company, central, and legal requirements.
QualificationsMinimum 5 years working experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably with at least 3 years in process improvements and lean production.
At least a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering.
Strong communication skills (both verbal & written) and ability to moderate meetings/workshops with all levels and departments.
Proactive with the ability to work in a team and maintain a positive attitude.
Good listener with negotiation skills.
Able to perform manufacturing and economic analysis (facts and figures).
Possess business, commercial, and technical skills with a strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing Concepts.
Detail-oriented and results-driven.
Able to instruct and deal in shop floor with clear logical standards and systematically follow them.
Able to identify cost-saving and quality improvement potential in alignment with company vision, mission, strategy, and goals (SQCD).
