**Main Accountabilities**To assist and support the Legal & Compliance Head in providing legal advisory services and ensuring comprehensive coverage of all legal aspects to effectively manage legal and contractual risks. As well as the Administrative work within the department.**Legal & Compliance (70% of total time spent)**- Contract(s) Related: Drafting, preparing, reviewing and negotiating on all legal documents/contracts/agreements, which include but not limited to agreements relating to confidentiality, teaming, channel business, supply and procurement, maintenance, software related agreements, tenancies and leases, tenders, and general legal related services.- Litigation(s) Related: Assist and managing dispute related matter(s), in supporting or in defending any claim(s) by or against company, ranging from demand letter(s), court summonses and court proceedings.- Policy(ies) Related: Assist in reviewing and advising local management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures, inter alia, on anti-bribery, anti-competition, and other local applicable laws / regulations / guidelines.- Support Service(s):- Liaise with relevant inter-departments to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate courses of action will be and/or have been taken.- Support in providing legal services and interpreting legal information, training and dissemination of appropriate legal materials/ requirements to staff. Assist in bringing up business ethics / compliance issues through routine briefing session.- Support in ensuring legal affairs are conducted in accordance with corporate governance requirements with relevant laws such as Companies Act.- Assist in due diligence process of agents/partners.- Liaise with regulatory bodies on all statutory requirements & compliance standards.- Conduct research on legal issues as and when required.**Others (30% of total time spent)**- Liaising with internal stakeholders matters e.g. any audit on Legal Division on business ethics and legal issues.- Assist to escalate and monitor on internal signing approval process on agreements/documents.- Assist in submission and monitoring agreements/documents stamping process.- Assist on confidential records keeping, including maintain a systematic filing system and custodians for all Agreements.- Ensure all related bills and invoices on legal related matters are checked and verified.- Plan and coordinate on meetings for legal department, perform minutes taking and prepare reading materials / presentations for meetings.- Assist on corporate secretarial**Education**- Bachelor Degree in Law or equivalent- Possess other relevant professional certificate in Law - Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) would be an added advantage, though not compulsory.**Work experience**- Fresh Graduates are welcome- 1-2 years of experiences in organisation / para legal, some exposure to some basic agreements, documents and correspondences such as non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, IT related contracts and organisational policies, would be an added advantage.- Proficient in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.- Computer literate. Proficiency in Ms Word, Ms Excel and Ms PowerPoint with good writing skills- Self-Starter, High Integrity, Confident, Team Player, Analytical, Accountable and Resourceful.
