Why does this job exist and why is it critical??
Develop the end 2 end framework for M&A with clear governance/gated checks along the way
Be the focal point that owns and manages from an overall strategic angle the ‘Enterprise M&A Framework' - in collaboration with key business heads. Ensure acquisition targets identified fit into overall Enterprise strategic play and builds towards our overall long term targets.
Establish a live screening of targets and ensure continuous alignment with key business heads. Carried out market assessment and scanning; competitive landscape analysis to evaluate the market (size, trends, drivers, opportunities and risks) and identify long list targets before funnelling down to short list based on set criteria.
Conduct preliminary assessment of shortlisted target companies.
Manage and align due diligence process covering financial, commercial, legal and technical aspects. Evaluate and structure DD outputs for decision making committee.
Support the business units in building of internal business case for target acquisition; and to obtain management approval.
Point of contact to manage external parties in support of M&A framework (e.g. PwC, KPMG) as well as internal parties (legal, finance, etc.)
Integration plan of acquired companies into Maxis structure based on right-fit model, with governance in place. Setting up clear cadence and process for all stake holders to adhere to.
Driver for monthly M&A Committee meeting involving CxO and key management heads.
Support in preparation of management and Board updates and approval material.
Job Requirement
Formal Education
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post GraduateDiploma, Professional Degree, or equivalent.
Work Experience
Total Work Experience: 5 to 8
Skills / Knowledge
Logical and strategic thinking, strong leadership andinterpersonal skills, excellent communication and presentationskills, Strong conceptual and analytical skills
Strong financial modelling skills and knowledge of dealstructuring.
