Position: Manager, Buying & Category Management, AirAsia Duty Free
Functional Responsibility:
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Buying & Category Management, this person will first be independently accountable for managing the line-up and revenue for dedicated portfolio in AirAsia Duty Free business (Cosmetics & Skincare, Fragrance, Fashion & Accessories) at the Regional level.
Accountable for the Gross Market Value (GMV) of the aforementioned categories for AirAsia Duty Free
Manage dedicated key retailer merchants to ensure the success for strategic key merchants for the category, maintain a strong partnership relationship with key accounts.
Manage the buying and merchant/vendor relationship at a day to day level including identifying trending products / SKUs from the merchant / vendors and devise campaigns together with Marketing team and merchant partners to drive category GMV growth
Liaise with merchants/vendors on new product listings discussion for each month, promotions and advertising opportunities.
Responsible for coordinating sales revenue and campaign management between AirAsia.com group with local markets that AirAsia Duty Free is operating in (MY, PH, TH, ID etc.)
Coordinate with suppliers and customer happiness team to manage and resolve product related customer complaints
Identify industry and product trends and work together with Centralized Sourcing team to bring in and onboard new merchants
Manage stock on hand levels and inventory for owned inventory across sales channels together with Demand Planners
Role Responsibility:
Strengthen AirAsia brand image and customer advocacy
Promote AirAsia’s culture within the organization
Ensure transparency and promote good governance
Role Requirements:
5+ years of working experience preferably in e-Commerce category management, marketing, or buying / merchandising.
Experience in E-Commerce is an added advantage
Education: A minimum of Bachelor's/Master’s Degree(s) in related field
Agile all-rounder - good business acumen, ability to work with ambiguity, adaptable and agile to strategy and directional changes and continue to drive results
Results-driven team player, willing to learn
Demonstrate understanding of data and analytical skills
