- Managing and monitoring the maintenance department in Ipoh (HQ) and branchers, including preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, inspection and attend to an ad-hoc vehicle breakdown.
- Lead and managing the maintenance team to achieve manpower optimization by setting the job description, interview and selection, disciplinary, performance evaluation, training needs analysis to identify the competency training needed as per standard norms prevailing in the industry.
- Conduct maintenance cost monitoring, analyzing technical, statistical data and reporting.
- Managing and maintain an accurate inventory system for tools and equipment, materials and spare parts including expenditures of each vehicle, equipment, fuel, repair parts and supplies.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including user departments, external supplier/service, auditors and relevant authority department.
- Perform specific function/projects and provide related resources and technical support within the company and group of companies.
- Prepare equipment specifications and evaluation.
- Review and align the maintenance department strategies, SOP, Safety, Work Instruction and practices to meet the company policies, quality objective and compliance to related legislation.
- Perform the outstation work if required to and lead the Emergency Respond Team (ERT) during emergency cases.
- Conduct incident and accident investigation related to maintenance and equipment. Job Qualification and Requirement:
- Candidate must possess Bachelor's Degree or 3 years Diploma in Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Required language(s):English, Bahasa Malaysia.
- At least 5 years of working experience in a truck/vehicle/equipment fleet business related and with proven track record establishing significant credibility.
- Required skill(s): MS Office, automated fleet management system, strong analytical to simulate data into actions. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills in managing the skilled, semiskilled and unskilled employees.
- Valid driving license D and E as an added advantage.
- Resourceful and strong knowledge of parts and supplies.
- Due diligence, strong knowledge of safety practices and techniques in mechanics; method and procedures in maintenance, repairs and replacement of diesel and petrol engine, vehicle and heavy equipment.
