Managing Director Polymer Industry
Responsibility
Strategic Leadership and Growth:
Define and execute the company's vision, mission, and long-term strategy in alignment with board directives.
Identify growth opportunities in bio-plastic markets across ASEAN.
Expand the company's footprint by driving initiatives in sustainable product development and market penetration.
Business Development and Partnerships:
Forge strategic partnerships with government bodies, international organizations, and industry leaders to promote bio-plastic solutions.
Act as the face of the organization at conferences, trade shows, and industry events, showcasing innovative products and sustainable practices.
Develop and implement strategies to secure funding and investment for growth initiatives, including green and sustainable projects.
Operational Excellence:
Oversee all aspects of operations, including manufacturing, P&L management, and resource allocation, to achieve financial and production targets.
Drive the implementation of quality standards, certifications (e.g., Halal-certified products), and regulatory compliance.
Champion innovative technologies, such as bio-plastic resins and low-carbon footprint products, to remain competitive in the market.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of professionals across sales, marketing, operations, and R&D.
Build a culture of creativity, innovation, and accountability to align with the company's sustainable growth objectives.
Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure teams are equipped to excel in a competitive industry.
Sustainability and Advocacy:
Advocate for sustainable materials and processes, emphasizing the benefits of bio-plastics over traditional fossil-fuel-based plastics.
Collaborate with stakeholders to advance environmental goals, including reducing carbon footprints and promoting circular economy principles.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years experience in the plastics or bio-plastics industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven track record in business development, achieving market expansion, and building strategic alliances.
Strong understanding of bio-plastics production, sustainability trends, and global market dynamics.
Expertise in P&L management, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance.
