As a Manufacturing/Industry Engineer in Penang, Malaysia you will:
- Apply advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert.
- Contribute to the development of new ideas and methods.
- Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
- Lead and/or provide expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives.
- Act as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies.
- Frequently represent the organization to external customers/clients.
- Exercise significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.
- May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.
- Lead multiple project teams of other manufacturing engineers and internal and outsourced development and manufacturing partners responsible for all stages of the product lifecycle from new product introduction through end of lifecycle, including solution design, capacity modeling, validation, tooling, manufacturing, and issue reporting and resolution.
- Manage and expands relationships with internal and outsourced partners for product manufacturing and development.
- Review and evaluates product designs and project activities for compliance with manufacturing guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback based on results to improve product quality and mitigate risk of product failure.
- Provide domain-specific expertise and overall manufacturing engineering leadership and perspective to cross- organization projects, programs, and activities.
- Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the manufacturing engineering organization.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.
- responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of the inkjet supplies in meeting the desired performance levels to deliver the expected customer experience
- Collaborate with various functional groups such as a process, supply chain, procurement and customer assurance
- Responsible for performing evaluation of product/process changes, resolve quality issues, drive containment of affected parts during a quality escalation.
- Continuously review and improve the product quality system.
- Support the NPI activities for new products and extensions and work with R&D to transfer them to the manufacturing Are you a high-performer?We are looking for an individual with:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Material / Manufacturing or Equivalent. Diploma holders with relevant experience will be considered as well
