**Overview**:We are looking to fill a position for a MECHANICAL DESIGNER in the Engineering Department. This is a full-time position that requires attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude. The designer is responsible for designing a 3-dimensional model and creating the associated 2D shop drawings and bill of material. These documents allow for production to build the mineral processing plant within a high-quality level. The core competency of this role is to design and supply all required information for production to have a successful build which directly leads to a high level of customer satisfaction.**Responsibilities**:- Complete the weight study based on chassis capacities and all installed components- Create an ACAD model that matches the information provided in the specification- Create drawings that provide all information required to accurately build the plant- Create a bill of materials for all installation components- Update drawings and BOMs per Drawing Approval change orders- Create as-built drawings to reflect changes that happened during the build- Assign and conduct drawing changes and updates based on engineering principals- Work closely with vendors to ensure that purchased parts match required specifications- Create technical specifications based upon general instruction to support new and/or current products and to facilitate product assembly- Review technical documentation for accuracy- Design parts and assemblies with little to no instruction with designs to be reviewed by the engineering manager- Work with production team members to understand and resolve problems- Perform other duties as assigned**Basic Qualifications**:- Knowledgeable in 3D design software.
