Job Responsibilities

Occupancy Planner role requires an individual with solid space-planning experience and ability to support complex space demands of various business units and effectively operate in a dynamic, fast paced business environment.

The candidate must possess excellent both interpersonal and communication skills, be detail-minded, be team-oriented, as well as have the ability to maintain a positive attitude while providing efficient occupancy and space planning support. The occupancy planner must be able to clearly communicate processes, standards and occupancy planning information demonstrating knowledge of responsibilities. Individual must be a self-starter, driven, demonstrating proactive/action-oriented abilities.Responsibilities:

- Actively supports Lam Research real estate and facilities planning activities in Malaysia & greater Southeast Asia region. Create and develop short and long term occupancy plans for the client, demonstrating a keen ability to collect information and translate it into a comprehensive real estate plan. Develop and implement of Lam workplace strategy & design guidelines to ensure alignment with Lam corporate goals & objectives. Assist in performing more complex analysis tasks to support overall facility planning (e.g. opportunity analysis, options development, option evaluation, pro/con comparison, makes recommendations) with some guidance. Monitor growth direction and projection for impact to established site strategies.
- Support the development and issuing of Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Quarterly Reports as directed.
- Provide and maintain knowledge of the Malaysia/Southeast Asia active and inactive property locations including space utilization, organizational occupancy, sizes and layouts.
- Establish and maintains a strong relationship with key Business Unit contacts. Meet with internal departments to manage space requirements, reorganization updates,project move planning as pertaining to overall campus/portfolio strategy. Develop space allocation plans, options and schematic plans to meet short and longterm client-based master plan initiatives Other Job Responsibilities
- Assist in developing high level group move options including project charters as necessary. Take point in developing and implementing move projects including audits and surveys.
- Assist in documenting and reporting of monthly key metrics (e.g. space utilization, space allocation, etc.).
- Assist in evaluating space utilization and identify opportunities to maximizeefficiency on a building/campus level.
- Ensures all work on major projects adheres to key corporate objectives as well as corporate planning and design standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of key processes, standards, procedures, and policies as requested.
- Assist with maintenance of accurate employee data and building drawings in IWMSdatabase.
- Ensures planning is aligned with corporate guidelines and that all scenarios maximize effective use of space.
- Educates and enforces space policies/standards, procedures and protocols and notifies client of customer requested exceptions as necessary.
- Manage and oversee MAC activities and furniture inventory. Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor or Master’s degree in architecture, real estate, interior design or planning, engineering
- Minimum 5 years of progressive advancement in facilities space planning, and/or interior design, and experience in project management and/or corporate planning directly related to the delivery of occupancy planning services
- A basic understanding of furniture panel systems, office furniture, and the ability to read architectural plans and floorplans is necessary in this role
- Must possess strong problem solving and analytical skills; Knowledge and ability to incorporate use analytical and problem-solving techniques
- Ability to understand complex ideas and effectively communicate those ideas to others on the account
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to distill complex information to the essential key points for client decision-making
- Ability to comfortably interface with all levels of management and to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize as needed in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have established customer service skills and the ability to negotiate through Occupancy Planning and MAC’s space tactics
- Advanced Microsoft Office: Excel and PowerPoint, strong IWMS and basic AutoCAD skills necessary, plus experience with use of SharePoint sites is a plus
- Experienced in the execution of benchmarking with an understanding of industry trends and workplace innovation
- Possess strong analytical skills, presentation skills with the ability to develop conclusions and recommendations for effective solutions Our Commitment
