The ULD Logistic Officer is responsible for managing and overseeing the logistics and operations of Unit Load Devices (ULDs) for MH and customer airlines to ensure the efficient and effective utilization, tracking, and maintenance of ULDs, which are essential for the safe and secure transportation of cargo and baggage.
Key Accountability
Ensure the optimal allocation and utilization of ULDs to meet operational demands.
Update and amend ULD Stock Control message (SCM) sent by stations.
Maintain accurate records of ULD inventory, including location, condition, and usage.
Communicate with ULD unit at stations for any unreported ULD.
Update ULD movement in the system (LMS).
Update any transfer of empty MH/Other Carrier ULD to other carrier/MH by sending LUC Out/LUC In.
Attend to both telexes and email and liaise with the airside officer on ULD requirements for MH and other carriers.
Receive requests for empty ULD from Export/Baggage/Ramp Traffic and other carriers.
Ensure sufficient ULD is prepared for baggage at Contact Pier, Satellite Building, and Warehouse Cargo.
Conduct field checks at all areas for empty ULDs at apron side (both Main Terminal Building and Satellite Building), Warehouse areas, Engineering Complex to ensure all ULDs are cleared and stored at designated storage areas.
Record and attend to any ULD/tie down equipment/Spreaders requirements from stations.
Maintain records of empty stacked ULDs for MH and other carriers, unserviceable ULD for repair, and collection of serviceable ULD from maintenance centre.
Check vendor staff daily attendance manpower.
Check equipment and ULD serviceability.
Coordinate the maintenance and repair of ULDs to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.
Conduct housekeeping at ULD yard to ensure proper storage of ULD.
Comply with company and regulatory safety and security policies and procedures.
Qualification
Diploma in logistics, supply chain management, aviation management, or a related field, or SPM or its equivalent with at least 2 years' experience in Cargo Operations / ULD Logistics and a minimum of 1 year in E3, or SRP/LCE/PMR with 5 years of experience and a minimum of 5 years in E3.
Advantage and good to have:
Certification in ULD operations such as those offered by IATA (International Air Transport Association).
Training in relevant regulations and standards, including IATA ULD Regulations (ULDR).
Years of Experience
Minimum 1 year in ULD Logistics or minimum 5 years' experience in Cargo Operations or Airlines Industry.
Areas of Experience
Knowledge in the Airlines Business in terms of Operations, logistics and IATA and ULD Logistic requirements.
Familiarity with ULD operations, including handling, tracking, and maintenance.
Personality Traits
Proficiency in logistics software and inventory management systems.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
