ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
This role sits in the Operations Data Management (ODM) organization, ensuring high quality in the ECC SAP system, which is the one source of truth at BAT, enabling the efficient utilization of operational business processes, for example; planning, manufacturing, selling and procuring.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
Manage the creation, amendment and deletion activities of all Material Master data within the Global Data Management team Ensure that the material master data processes for creation, amendment and deletion are understood and owned across the team plus Global Operations departments, factories and end markets Observe data completeness and accuracy through weekly and monthly KPI, Global Core compliance and data quality reports, to drive improved data integrity Drive data cleansing activities to proactively identify missing or incorrect material master data and put corrective actions in place As a master data knowledge specialist, contribute to global, regional and local MDM projects as required on behalf of the Global Data Management team and drive implementation of approved changes into BAU as applicable Manage the team activities and workload, ensuring priorities are set and timelines are met, for BAU and the numerous global projects involving master data where the global master data administration team need to be involved Proactively develop working relationships with global / regional / local data teams and partners, guiding them on data related issues and managing alignment to business standards and priorities
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Experience of working with Master Data in an operational / supply chain environment Knowledge and understanding of Master Data processes, management, governance and controls A detailed understanding of SAP and MDG or equivalent Team management and leadership capabilities Proficient English with strong communication / interpersonal skills (verbal and written) Structured work approach and excellent skills for prioritising multiple tasks, deadline conscious Ability to engage, influence, debate and reason successfully with peers, sub-ordinates and immediate senior management Highly numerate, analytical, problem solving orientated with strong attention to detail Ability to deconstruct complex scenarios and review with peers / partners across differing levels of data literacy Rational, ambitious, outspoken, tenacious and self-disciplined
