Job Description Responsible for the safe and efficient manufacturing operations at one or more chemical production facilities to ensure the availability and delivery of quality products to meet customer and company delivery schedules?
Directs and manage staff responsible for the production?
Manage/coordinate chemical delivery to customer warehouse as per received Purchase Order (PO) for offshore/onshore requirement
Liaise with Material Planner for inventory receipt/planning
Administers a program of quality control and analytical support for raw materials, intermediates, finished goods, and shipments
Manage, established, documented and maintained of blending & decanting Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
Plans and supervises the maintenance of equipment, buildings, and property at the assigned facilities
Ensures a clean, safe working environment for subordinates.?
Provides regular training for all employees in the care and use of safety equipment and monitors employee competence in working with hazardous chemicals
Implement and ensures plant compliance with federal, state and local health, safety and environmental laws and regulations and corporate environmental policies
At assigned locations establishes and maintains effective programs for waste minimization, recycling, pollution control, environmental compliance, energy conservation and public safety
Act as Team Captain of the Transportation Emergency Response Team.?In the event of a spill of chemical product while in transit, provides technical assistance to government enforcement agencies, coordinates efforts of the Response team, and maintains communications with headquarters and plants
Trains, develops and motivates a supporting staff
Conducts performance appraisals
Responsible for the development of hourly wage rates, the maintenance of job descriptions for hourly personnel, and advising Human Resource of all changes to descriptions and/or wage rates.?
Develops standards and qualifications for interviewing, hiring and placement of personnel
Responsible for future planning to keep pace with changing technologies, new products, and new processes
Responsible for instituting and maintaining communication channels between plant and other functional groups
Undertake/handling customer complaint related to plant/warehouse; follow up and resolve
Maintain consistent customer satisfaction ratings and respond appropriate to customer feedback on areas for improvement
Shall establish and maintain a quality control system, in order to ensure that the chemical/product meet the specifications and quality assurance requirements
Provide input for develops annual operating budget for Plant Operational needs, and maintains control of approved budgets to ensure proper cost control
Develops and maintains community and government relations programs
Supports and is committed to MECAS QHSE Procedures (ISO Requirements), Quality Improvement Process
Plan strategies to ensure error-free work by ?doing it right the first time? and conveys this attitude in the daily performance of various duties.?
The incumbent must have Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent and at least 10 years?experience in Supervisory level
